Steve Maggi

Steve Maggi is Of Counsel at FL Patel Law, bringing a distinguished background in U.S. immigration law to clients across Florida and worldwide. A 2001 graduate of Georgetown University Law Center, Steve joined the firm in 2021 after relocating his practice from New York to St. Petersburg.

Before coming to Florida, Steve spent eight years practicing in Buenos Aires, where he launched his U.S. immigration practice after first working at Morgan, Lewis & Bockius in Miami. Originally from Bariloche, Argentina, Steve waited nine years to become a U.S. citizen, giving him a personal understanding of the immigration journey his clients face.

Steve focuses on investment-based, business, and entrepreneurial visas, offering a full spectrum of visa services along with embassy and consulate representation worldwide. He has assisted people from over 70 countries navigate the U.S. immigration system.

Recognized as a leading expert in his field, Steve has appeared on NBC, ABC, Fox, and Telemundo to discuss U.S. immigration law. He won his first asylum case, on behalf of citizens from Togo, while still a student at Georgetown University Law Center.
